Android TV & Fire TV TV
Where most watching happens: favourites, continue-watching and your playlists, ready the moment you turn it on.
Sidstuga · Cloud Sync
Cloud Sync keeps your favourite channels, movies, series and where you left off the same on your TV, your phone and this browser: encrypted end-to-end, entirely optional.
Cloud Sync is a full sync layer built from scratch: not a feature most IPTV players even offer.
Your library is encrypted end-to-end: only your own devices ever hold the key. Playlists are the one exception (see Security).
Why it matters
Start a series on the TV in the living room, keep watching on your phone on the bus, tidy up your playlists from a laptop keyboard. Cloud Sync is the one thread that keeps all three the same list.
Where most watching happens: favourites, continue-watching and your playlists, ready the moment you turn it on.
The same library in your pocket, so a show you paused on the big screen picks up exactly where you left it.
Cloud Sync Web: pair a laptop, desktop or another phone to manage everything from a real keyboard, without touching the remote.
What syncs
Not a screen mirror: a shared record of the parts of Sidstuga worth carrying between devices, most of it end-to-end encrypted.
Add, rename or remove your Xtream Codes and M3U sources from your phone or a browser: every signed-in device picks up the change. Stored so our servers can use them for this (see Security).
Mark something once and it stays marked everywhere: no rebuilding your favourites list on a second device.
Pause a movie or an episode on the TV, and resume it on your phone at the exact point you left off.
Set up separate profiles for the people who share your account from the browser, then pick who is watching on each device.
Paste your own catalogue add-on link, the same kind apps like Stremio use, and manage it from any signed-in device, alongside your Xtream content.
Theme, guide layout, subtitle and playback preferences follow you from TV to phone, so a new device starts already set up your way.
The web side
Cloud Sync Web is a real remote control for your account, from a browser: sources, library, profiles, devices and settings, all editable with a keyboard: sign in with the account you made on your TV or phone, or pair it with a six-character code if you'd rather not, no app install needed either way.
Accounts are created inside the Sidstuga app, never in a browser: Cloud Sync Web either pairs anonymously with a code, or signs in to an account you already made on your TV or phone.
Security
Your account password never leaves your device in a form we could use, and most of what Cloud Sync stores is zero-knowledge by design.
Beyond Cloud Sync
Cloud Sync sits inside a full IPTV player: recording, a Hub that connects your Plex, Jellyfin, Emby or WebDAV library and add-ons, and metadata that goes further than a channel list.
Questions
No. Sidstuga plays live TV, movies and series with no account at all. Cloud Sync is an optional layer for anyone using more than one device.
Your playlists, favourite channels/movies/series, continue-watching position, Hub add-on links, profiles and your appearance/playback settings. It does not sync what you're watching in real time, and it never touches your provider's stream itself.
Mostly, yes, with one deliberate exception. Your favourites, continue-watching, profiles and settings are end-to-end encrypted: the key is derived on-device with Argon2id and never leaves it, and our servers only ever store the encrypted result. Your playlists (Xtream/M3U logins) are the one part that isn't: our servers can read them, because that's what powers the web panel, reseller setup and in-browser playback, using the same credentials your provider already sees on every channel you watch.
Not directly: your encryption key is generated on your device, so accounts are created in the Sidstuga app itself. From the browser you can pair with a code or sign in to an account you already have.
As many as your plan allows: the Devices tab in Cloud Sync Web shows your current usage, and you can unlink any device you no longer use.
Cloud Sync is already built into Sidstuga: turn it on from Settings, or manage everything from Cloud Sync Web right now.
