Sidstuga, natively on your smart TV

The same calm player, built natively for the smart TV people already own. No Android box, no separate remote to learn.

Access is by request while we finish rolling out to every supported TV. Write to us and we'll set you up.

Samsung Tizen

Built for Samsung's own Tizen platform: the TV already in the living room, not a box plugged into it.

LG webOS

A native webOS app, designed around the Magic Remote instead of a d-pad layout carried over from Android.

Hisense VIDAA

Built for Hisense's VIDAA platform: the same calm player, with nothing extra to plug in under the TV.

Roku Roku OS

A different case: Roku only accepts apps built from scratch in its own language, unlike Samsung, LG and Hisense. Nothing has been decided yet.

Under evaluation

Pricing

A licence of its own, for your TVs.

Sidstuga TV is licensed separately from the Android app. The annual subscription costs the same as on the Android app; the lifetime licence has its own price for TV, shown below.

Annual subscription

Same yearly price as on Google Play, bought separately for Sidstuga TV.

€9.99 /year

Lifetime licence

One payment, no renewal: a lifetime licence with its own price for Sidstuga TV, different from the Android app's lifetime licence.

€49.99 · one-time

Each Sidstuga TV licence covers up to 5 devices of its own, counted apart from your Android devices. A Google Play subscription or an Android lifetime licence does not unlock Sidstuga TV, and a Sidstuga TV licence does not unlock the Android app. Sidstuga TV has its own 7-day free trial, separate from the Android app's: using one does not use up the other.

Questions

Sidstuga TV, answered

How much will Sidstuga TV cost?

€9.99/year, the same price as the Android app's annual subscription, bought separately for Sidstuga TV. Or a lifetime licence of its own for Sidstuga TV: €49.99, one-time payment, different from the Android app's lifetime licence (€39.99). Each licence covers up to 5 devices of its own kind, and one does not unlock the other.

Do I need an Android box or a Fire Stick to use it?

No. Sidstuga TV runs natively on the TV's own operating system: Tizen on Samsung, webOS on LG, VIDAA on Hisense, with nothing extra plugged in underneath.

Which Samsung, LG or Hisense TVs will be supported?

We haven't published a minimum model year yet, since it varies by platform and OS version. Request access and we'll confirm whether your TV qualifies.

Will my existing Android, Fire TV or phone app stop working?

No. Sidstuga TV is an addition, not a replacement. Every device you already use keeps working exactly as it does today.

Will my channels and favourites carry over automatically?

Sidstuga TV signs in with the same Cloud Sync account as your phone and other devices, so your playlists, favourites and continue-watching are ready the moment you log in.
