Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 July 2026 · applies to all Sidstuga versions.

1. What Sidstuga is

Sidstuga is a media player for Android phones, tablets and TV devices. It plays audio and video from a source that you configure — an Xtream Codes API endpoint or an M3U/M3U8 playlist (a URL or a local file). Sidstuga renders and organises whatever your source returns: live playback, an electronic programme guide, movie and series details, recording, downloads and playback controls. By installing or using the app you agree to these terms.

2. The source is yours, and so is the responsibility

Sidstuga ships empty. It comes with no channels, no playlists and no media of any kind — you add your own source before there is anything to play. You are solely responsible for the source you configure, including:

Sidstuga has no relationship with your provider, does not process or resell any provider subscription, and cannot see, store or moderate what your source returns. If you are unsure whether a source is lawful to use, do not configure it.

3. Your subscription pays for the software

What you buy from us is software functionality — the player and its premium features — never content. A subscription or one-time licence unlocks features such as offline downloads, end-to-end-encrypted Cloud Sync, multi-device sync, DVR recording and the advanced EPG. Plans:

Prices may change for new purchases; an active plan keeps the price and terms it was bought under, and Google Play asks for your explicit consent before any subscription price increase can apply to you. Trials convert only if you choose to continue. Refunds follow the policy of the store or processor that handled the payment (Google Play or Stripe).

4. Acceptable use

Use the app for its intended purpose — playing media from sources you are entitled to use — and do not attempt to resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer or circumvent the licensing of the app itself. Do not use the app to infringe anyone's rights.

5. No warranty on third-party sources

The player is provided "as is". Because the content, availability and quality of playback depend entirely on the source you supply and on your provider and network, we make no warranty about them. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims all liability for any third-party content played through user-supplied sources, and for interruptions caused by a provider, network or device.

6. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the date at the top changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. For a copy of a previous version, email support@sidstuga.app.

7. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. See also our Privacy policy. Questions: support@sidstuga.app.
